Gift of David Doret and Linda G. Mitchell.
William Van de Veld Bornfield was a Pennsylvania artist who specialized in coastal marine, landscape, and winter scene paintings. He exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts between 1861 and 1869 and intermittently between 1876 and 1885. Bornfield also worked in New Jersey.
