Description
The engraving features an African family and an elephant in the foreground of an idyllic African landscape. The father rests his hand on the elephant's out-stretched trunk; next to him,the mother holds an infant in her arms, shielding the child from the sun with an umbrella. Behind them, others hunt, fish, rest, and swim in a river.
