Description
Glass negative showing a full length portrait of Jedediah H. Adams and Allan M. Mowry (Haverford College class of 1887 and part of the Everett Society) dressed in elaborate costumes. One is dressed as a woman with a long dresses and purse and the other wears a three-piece suit, top hat, and false beard. They stand in front of a stone wall covered with vines and a suitcase sits on the ground near the man's feet. The Everett Society was founded by students in 1858. Their activities included declamations, orations, debates and essay writing. The Society merged with the Haverford Athenaeum in 1889 to form the Everett-Athenaeum Society.
