Description
Glass negative showing Founder's Hall, a three-story building with ivy climbing the walls. There is a small pond in front of the building and a path to the left. Trees line the path and there is bench sitting in front of the nearest tree. Founders Hall, built in 1833, was the first building of the Haverford School, later College. It served as the only living and learning quarters of the College until 1877 when Barclay Hall was built. Alumni Hall, later known as Magill Library, was built in 1864 as a library and assembly hall.
