Description
Glass negative showing the McAboy House, a three-story hotel standing at the base of a series of rolling hills. A field surrounded by a wire fence stands in front of the hotel and trees grow around the building and up the hillside. Tryon Mountain rises in the background. The Columbus Mills Plantation, originally owned by John Mills, was bought by Dr. Leland Reid McAboy in 1872 and became an inn known as the McAboy House.
