Description
Panoramic view showing several city blocks northwest from the State House (520 Chestnut Street). Includes the Public Ledger building, built 1866-1867 after the designs of John McArthur, Jr., (600-606 Chestnut) and the newspaper office of John W. Forney's The Press, "Forney's Press Building," (corner, Chestnut and Seventh). In the right background, the Masonic Hall is visible (713-721 Chestnut).
