Description
Depicts a stretch of Wissahickon Drive underneath of the stone arches of the Reading & Pennsylvania Railroad bridge, begun in 1874, but not completed until 1882 after budgetary restraints slowed construction. Also known as the Wissahickon Creek Viaduct and the High Stone Bridge. The 100 steps are visible in the distance, along with the houses on Freeland Avenue perched at the top of the hill, overlooking Wissahickon Creek.
