panoramas of "Chestnut, Market, Third, Second, and Front streets" and the "City Front." Also promotes the directory's detail
to architectural characteristics of each building; its use as a future reference; its mutual benefits; and "Its Permanency."
Text also solicits subscriptions from businesses in return for a "view of their buildings"; an "Advertising card"; and "one
hundred plates of the entire square for their own distribution."
