Description |
Half-length portrait of the antislavery advocate, congressman, and founder of the modern public school system. Mann, attired
in spectacles, a white collared shirt, a black bowtie, waistcoat, and jacket, sits facing slightly left. Mann assisted in
the legal defense of abolitionists who aided freedom seekers.
