Description
Racist trade card specimen depicting an African man picking coffee on a plantation. Shows the bare-chested, barefooted man, attired in a straw hat and red striped shorts, picking coffee berries and placing them into a straw basket. The basket, which is hung around his shoulders and neck by a strap in front of his waist, is full of red berries. In the left, the coffee plant that the man picks from is full of red berries. More plants are visible in the background.
