Description
Bust-length portrait of Wu Ying Ding, attired in a tight-fitting cap and a shirt with a Mandarin collar and frog closures, facing slightly right. Hu Quang Yung exhibited a selection of his collection, including cloisonne, bronzes, and ceramics, at the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. Yung's nephew, Wu Ying Ding, attended the Centennial as an envoy with the objects.
