"Rules of the hall.--Persons are requested not to beat time with their feet, as it is unpleasant to the audience and interrupts
the performance. Front and centre seats reserved for ladies, and gentlemen accompanying them. Colored people admitted only
to seats assigned them. Gentlemen are requested to take off their hats during the performance hours. Whistling is positively
forbidden in the hall. Owing to the extreme length of the programme, no repetition of the pieces can be given. Boys not admitted
to the gallery."
