Description
Tropical landscape in which a black family is featured in the foreground. The father wears a straw hat, and carries some type of tool or bundle over his shoulder. The mother sits with their child on her lap in a posture that suggests breast-feeding. Behind a stone and wooden fence, the thatched roofs of two small houses are visible.
