Col. Andrew T. McReynolds commanded the 1st New York Cavalry, known as the Lincoln Cavalry; it was organized in New York City in July and Aug.,1861 and mustered out June 27, 1865.
Two illustrations: one shows four mounted officers; the second shows soldiers in camp, with tents and the flag.
