A few good men wanted for the heavy artillery service. This regiment is now doing garrison duty in the fortifications for the defence of the city of Washington; it is the largest regiment in the service, (its maximum number being 1800,) to which standard we desire to fill it, and have opened for that purpose a recruiting office at No. 138 South Fourth Street. Twelve band musicians wanted, apply as above

Charles Angeroth was authorized in Oct. 1861 to raise a battalion of heavy artillery; the 112th Regiment, 2nd Artillery of the Pennsylvania Volunteers, was mustered in Jan. 8, 1862 and mustered out Jan. 29, 1866; Angeroth was discharged June 21, 1862 and replaced by A.A.
