Description
View showing the bronze equestrian statue of General Antonio Guzman Blanco modeled by Joseph A. Bailly from 1875-1879, cast in bronze by Robert Wood & Co., and installed in Caracas, Venezuela in 1880. The statue sits on a pedestal outdoors in a park or cemetery setting across the street from rowhomes in Philadelphia. A plaster model of the statue was displayed at the Centennial Exhibition in 1876.
