Bird's eye view looking northeast toward the Delaware River from City Hall tower, showing the tree-covered Franklin Square and the spire of the Arch Street Presbyterian Church (Arch Street above Tenth, built 1823). Includes the empty lot near Twelfth and Filbert Streets where the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad shed would be completed two years after this photograph.
