View showing a section of the second Norristown Railroad Bridge over the mouth of the Wissahickon Creek. The bridge, built by Haughey and Snyder for the Philadelphia, Germantown, and Norristown Railroad (later Philadelphia and Reading Railroad), was razed by fire in 1862 and replaced with a temporary trestle-work bridge. Also shows the falls of Wissahickon Creek in the foreground.
