Description
View showing a section of the old Girard Avenue Bridge spanning Landsdowne ( i.e., Lansdowne) Drive in West Fairmount Park. The bridge, built over the Schuylkill River in 1855 and razed circa 1871, is adorned with a sign labeled, "Entrance to Landsdowne Drive." Shows three men, including a park guard, standing under and near the bridge arches.
