Description
Illustrated trade card depicting a bird perched on the branch of a flowering tree. The seaside hotel opened in 1869 on the entire block between Howard and Gurney streets and Columbia Avenue and the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel, destroyed in the great fire of 1878, was rebuilt, and destroyed again by fire in 1889.
