Description Trade card issued preceding the Centennial Exhibition of 1876 advertising New York publishers Nelson & Phillips. Depicts the hall to be built after designs by Henry Pettit and Joseph M. Wilson. Several individuals promenade on the grounds. The centennial of the United States was celebrated through an international exhibition of industry, agriculture, and art in West Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, May 10-November 10, 1876.
