Image of a man and woman outdoors; the woman holds the hands of two girls, and four other girls stand in front of them with backs turned, one linking arms with one of the smaller girls; all wear simple clothing and a hat or bonnet; the style of the bonnets suggest a historical setting – possibly 17th-century.
Signed: Van Ingen-Snyder. Van Ingen & Snyder, a partnership between William H. Van Ingen and Henry M. Snyder, was active between 1853 and 1871.
