In The Mirror of taste, vol. 1, no. 2 (February 1810), frontispiece. Library Company’s copy defaced.
In 1791, Anne Brunton married Robert Merry, who died in 1798. In 1803, she married Thomas Wignell, who died that same year. She married William Warren in 1806. She died in childbirth two years later in Alexandria, Virginia. Already established as a leading actress in England, she made her American debut in December 1796 as Shakespeare’s Juliet. Cf. ANB.
