Description Depicts an older African American man, possibly a sharecropper, sitting on a donkey. The man has gray hair and stubble and is attired in a hat, and a torn and worn collared coat, pants, and shoes. He sits on a worn saddle and hold the reins to the donkey. Within the fenced in farmyard is a shed made from planks of board, a plow, and more farming equipment. Trees are visible in the background.
