Description
View showing the front facade of the temple on 1 North Broad Street, designed by Freemason and Philadelphia architect, James H. Windrim, completed in 1874. Built to accommodate the local lodges increasing membership, the temple has been called the grandest in the country. Four African American boys walk in a lot in the foreground towards the viewer. Pedestrians walking on the sidewalks are visible in the background.
