Bust-length portrait after a daguerreotype of the abolitionist and author of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" Stowe, wearing her hair in
ringlet curls and attired in a long-sleeved white dress with a lace collar and a dark-colored shawl, tilts her head down and
rests the left side of her cheek and chin on her left hand.
