Description
View depicting young female campers, including African Americans, near pitched tents on a campground. Shows a field with a line of tents. The girls stand in front of the opening of the tents. In the right background, a small building is visible. Probably an "open air" program to rehabilitate tuberculosis patients sponsored by the Philadelphia Health Council and Tuberculosis Committee. The committee, founded in 1920 by Dr. Lawrence Flick, operated until 1944.
