Description Cityscape view looking northeast from State House (520 Chestnut) showing the north side of the 400 block of Chestnut Street. Includes Blackwood & Co. carpet store (431 Chestnut) and Farmers & Mechanics Bank built 1854-1855 after the designs of John M. Gries. Also shows surrounding buildings including the steeple of Christ Church (22-34 N. 2nd).
