Inscription on brass plaque reads, "This table formerly used by the Honourable James Logan an part of the furniture of his
Library at Stenton was presented to the Loganian Library by his descendant in the fifth generation, Albanus C. Logan, MDCCLXX."
Marlbourough style legs were not used until about 1755, which makes the claim of it belonging to James Logan doubtful. It
may be one of several walnut tables mentioned in the inventory made at Stenton after William Logan's death in 1772.
