Description
Aerial view of the Girard Avenue Bridge and Pennsylvania Railroad Bridge (also known as the Mantua Junction Viaduct) spanning the Schuylkill River at Girard Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. View looks east from the west side of the river at around 34th Street. Pennsylvania Railroad Bridge was designed by engineers John A. Wilson and Alexander C. Shand. A trolley can be seen going over the Girard Avenue Bridge and a train runs over the railroad bridge. Portions of Fairmount Park and industrial buildings are visible in the distance.
