Description
Aerial views of the Charles E. Ellis College for Fatherless Girls in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. Depicts stone cottages (built circa 1923 after designs by John T. Windrim) surrounded by farmland. The school was established in 1919 with a bequest from Charles E. Ellis (1835-1909), who earned his wealth in the transportation industry. The school closed in 1977.
