Description
View showing the Roman Catholic Church at 2401-2427 North 8th Street built as an Episcopal church and bought by the Archdiocese for the parish established in 1865. Also shows the adjacent church school. The church, which does not contain a tower, and school are surrounded by a yard with trees that is protected by a picket fence. A few pedestrians, including a woman and child, walk on the sidewalk in front of the property. Rev. P. F. Sullivan assumed the pastorship of the church in 1873. A cornerstone for a new church was laid in 1883.
