Description
Advertisement showing an exterior view of the building for the insurance company that established a branch in Philadelphia in 1851. Also shows patrons exiting and entering the building; walking on the sidewalk; and a horse-drawn carriage passing in the street. The insurance company, organized in Great Britain in 1836, established a branch in the United States in 1848.
