Description
View showing the building utilized as a foreign embassy after the American Revolution on the 100 block of South Sixth Street. Also shows a woman standing in the entranceway of the adjacent building. Building razed in 1846.
View showing the building known incorrectly as the Letitia Penn House on Letitia Street between Market and Chestnut streets. The misidentified residence, purportedly built in 1682 by William Penn and given to his daughter in 1701, was relocated to Fairmount Park in 1883.
