Description
View of the Blockley Almshouse on the west side of the Schuylkill River. Designed by Philadelphia architect William Strickland and constructed 1833. View shows the riverbanks where two men fish and cows graze. A two-masted sailing ship passes on the river. Cityscape on the east bank of the river and the Market Street Bridge are visible in the right background.
