Advertisement showing the factory complex at 608 Delaware Avenue (occupied 1844) for the lead pipe manufactory established in 1841 by George N., Henry B., and William P. Tatham. Factory employees work in front of and at the wharf of the industrial building that is covered with signage. Men lift a barrel with a hoist; guide horse-drawn drays into a courtyard, down an alley, and to be unloaded; move planks of wood; and spray a hose into the river. Also shows partial views of surrounding buildings. Tatham & Brothers, a firm established in New York in 1838, operated the Philadelphia branch from the address until circa 1867.
