Description
View of the fire engine built by Reaney, Neafie & Co. in 1858 for the hose and engine company founded on August 17, 1805 by male residents living near Second and Pine streets. Plates reading "Adopted Jan. 2nd, 1858, completed June 24th, 1858," and "Reaney, Neaey [sic] & Co.," and "Hope" adorn the unhitched engine.
