Description
Tradecard containing a vignette of the "Continental Hotel, Philadelphia" at 824-838 Chestnut Street. View also shows street and pedestrian traffic, including horse-drawn carriages, an omnibus, and a man on horseback. Mayer, Strouse & Baum, was active 1861-1863. The hotel was built 1860 after the designs of John McArthur, Jr.
