a street with produce stand in front of one of the buildings.

At this time, in 1923, when this sketch is made, the advance forces of the army of progress are busy with the wreckage of
much that has both historic and artistic worth, but these little byways, bordered by humble homes, are being scrapped to make
way for the great Delaware River bridge and for modern industrial enterprises that will soon replace them to the material
advantage of all concerned.
