Description John Jesse Barker, an English artist, lithographer, and drawing teacher born ca. 1785, was active ca. 1815-1860 in Philadelphia and New Brunswick, N.J. He delineated the drawing for the novel lithograph "Horizontarium" published by R. H. Hobson (147 Chestnut) in 1832 that depicts the Bank of Philadelphia.
