Childs & Lehman, the partnership between engraver and lithographer Cephas G. Childs and lithographer, engraver, and painter
George Lehman, was active 1833-1835. The successor firm to Childs & Inman, the establishment predominately issued cityscape
views, such as "Philadelphia Arcade," maps, and portraits, including plates for McKenney & Hall's "History of the Indian Tribes
of North America," as well as the allegorical temperance print "Look Upon This Picture and On This" (ca. 1834). In 1834, P.
S. Duval purchased Childs' share of the business for $750 and the firm was reestablished as Lehman & Duval.
