Ellen Jones, born ca. 1854 in Pennsylvania, worked as a lithographer in Philadelphia in 1880 while a resident at 10 Wilson
Street. She is one of the few listed female lithographers of the 19th century.

Jones, daughter of a father born in New York and a mother Mary born ca. 1830 in Rhode Island, lived in a household with three
men involved in the printing trade: William Brown (b. ca. 1869), a lithographer who had lost a finger; and brothers and printers
Charles (b. ca. 1859) and Benjamin (b. ca. 1861).
