Case: Leather. Small central circle surrounded by flowers and leaves within a larger circle. Circles surrounded by diamond
shaped scroll pattern with additional scrolls at each corner. All within rectangular border. Photographer's blindstamp appears
running vertically along the edge of the border nearest the clasps. No design on verso.

Arcadia caption text: This daguerreotype image is the earliest extant photograph of America’s oldest bank building. Constructed
between 1795 and 1797 as the First Bank of the United States after designs by Samuel Blodget, Jr., the building still stands
at 120 South Third Street. Photographers William and Frederick Langenheim captured this view of a crowd gathered in front
of the bank, the temporary headquarters of the militia in the aftermath of anti-Catholic riots, on May 9, 1844, creating the
earliest known Philadelphia “news” photograph.
