Description Winter view looking from the Fairmount Waterworks toward West Philadelphia. Shows a building on the west bank of the Schuylkill River at the southern end of the Fairmount Locks. A covered canal lock is visible in the foreground, flanked on the east side by rocky terrain. In the background, dwellings and trees line the landscape. Building possibly the hotel inhabited and operated by Jeremiah King.
