Description
View looking north at the ivy-covered church built circa 1861-1863 after designs by Alfred Biles at the northeast corner of Eighteenth and Spring Garden Streets. Also shows the front facade of the adjacent residence (1803 Spring Garden Street). Congregation organized as the Sansom Street Baptist Church by Rev. William Staughton in 1811.
