View of the university building constructed 1871-1872 after the designs of Thomas Webb Richards on the university campus in West Philadelphia. Also shows scaffolding surrounding adjacent buildings being constructed on the campus. University of Pennsylvania, founded by Benjamin Franklin in 1751, relocated to West Philadelphia in 1875.
