Description
View from Chamounix Drive in West Fairmount Park showing the Falls Bridge, also known as the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad Bridge, spanning the Schuylkill River. The bridge, erected in 1853 by mason Christian Swartz, was utilized by the Reading Railroad. Also shows a telegraph pole near a small stone structure in the foreground and Falls of Schuylkill Woolen Mills at East Falls in the background.
