[graphic].
ca. 1931.
1 photographic print :
gelatin silver on postcard mount ;
14 x 9 cm. (5.5 x 3.5 in.)
Group portrait showing four small children sitting on a quilt or blanket on the hood of an automobile or truck in Philadelphia. They are dressed in casual clothing. Three of the four are squinting because of the glare of the sunlight. One of the children holds onto the hood ornament. The eyes of an adult holding on to one of the children can be seen behind them. In the background is an attractive brick row house.
Keith was a Philadelphia photographer who specialized in portraiture, mainly of working-class Philadelphians in South Philadelphia and Kensington from the 1910s to the 1940s.
