Description
Aerial views of the Municipal Court Building under construction in June, 1939. Building was designed in the classical revival style by architects John T. Windrim and Morton Keast. View looks southwest from the vicinity of 17th and Callowhill. The Benjamin Franklin Parkway is visible from Logan Circle to just beyond 22nd Street. Major features of the parkway can be seen, including the Free Library of Philadelphia and the Franklin Institute. The view to the west stretches to 30th Street Station and the Schuylkill River.
