Description
Aerial view of Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania, located at 3200-3254 Henry Avenue in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia. Depicts a five-story building with columned portico entrance (constructed circa 1925 after designs by the firm Ritter & Shay) and circular driveway lined with automobiles. The school was founded in 1850 as the Female Medical College of Pennsylvania, the first medical school for women in the world. It was renamed Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1970, and in 1993 it merged with Hahnemann University.
